Glenlivet 15-Year-Old French Oak Reserve is a way to step up in taste without having to break your piggy bank open. It begins life as a normal Glenlivet 12-year-old single malt but is then transferred to first fill Limousine French Oak casks for a further three years of mellowing. These casks, normally reserved for aging fine cognac, help to further round off the spicy and nutty edges of the scotch and give it a creamy richness that is almost buttery on the palate
